"I hate that term "progressive"! Is ruining a country progressive? Is cut and run progressive? Is tax and spend progressive? There was a progressive movement in the US in the early 20th Century and I'd be very happy if we just used the term to describe those folks. I do think most of the people are centrists to some degree and it's suprising to me how few of our politicians put out the centrist message. I'm not a big fan of Bill Clinton, but I think, as a politician, he did a great job as a centrist. His instincts are very liberal but he was smart enough not to let Hillary ride rough shod over him. It's possible if he's elected president again (that's the reality behind the Hillary campaign), that we may see some moderation in politics. I hope the first woman president is someone who has earned the privilege to be leader of the free world and not just somebody's wife."
