National Primary Day
Dec 3 2007, 7:30 AM EST National Primary Day Do you think that 2 states should play such a large factor in determining who will be each party's nominee (NH and Iowa) ??? or Should there be one National Primary Day where all states have voting on the same day? 9 out of 13 found this valuable. RE: National Primary Day
May 14 2008, 10:48 AM EDT I agree that there is a problem with the way the primary season is set up. It should be more uniform and it definitely should be shorter. The problem with everyone voting on the same day is some candidates need time to make themselves and opinions known. In my opinion there should be 3 or 4 days like Super Tuesday with 2 or 3 weeks between the primary days for the candidates to campaign. Thanks, Good Topic! 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: National Primary Day
Jun 7 2008, 8:14 PM EDT One problem with both a national primary day or a bunch of days like Super Tuesday are that candidates with a wider sphere of influence, who have the popularity to campaign in several states virtually, will clinch the nomination. They may not be the actual choice of the voters, just renowned enough to make themselves known widely. There is no perfect solution to this system of nominating candidates, but some refoem is always hoped for in my home state(KY), which is close to the last state to vote in primary season. 0 out of 1 found this valuable.
