I am a conservative voter from the state of Indiana and I take issue with the administration's policy for the following reasons:
1. People who break the law get a pass. I really don't care that there are 11 million+ of them. Where is the rule of law? Do we get to pick and choose what laws are convenient to obey? What message does this send to the counrty and the world? That American's are hypocrites who pick positions that are self serviing. 2. Illegal immigrants do jobs that Americans won't do- This argument serves those employers who also break the law. They get a below market labor cost that also drives down the wages for these jobs. The result is law abiding tax paying citizens find themselves turning down jobs because welfare pays better. The laws of supply and demand apply to labor just as surely as they do to the price of gasoline. Let's quit glutting the labor market with lawbreakers. 3. Illegal immigrants contribute to our economy and tax base- Mexico's largest source of income is the money sent back by illegal immigrants in this country. These are dollars that don't buy American goods or services-they simply leave our economy. Most illegal immigrants already know how to play our tax system, so when they get a job they simply claim 10 or 12 dependents and have virually no tax deducted. In summary we need to uphold the rule of law, employ low income citizens at livable wages and generate income that is spent in America and is taxed in America and stop employers from breaking the law of the land, The result of our failure to address this issue in a lawful, ethical manner will result in the breakdown of our system of laws ( illegal immigrants get to lie to the IRS and social security and get a pass while U.S. citizens who do this get sent to jail) and a complete loss of credibility in the world community. For evidence of this just look to how Iran mocks the USA

i HAVE BEEN A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN FOR 56 YEARS, BUT HAVE BECOME TOTALLY FED UP AT THE OUTRAGEOUS PORK BARREL SPENDING BY CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS. I AM GREATLY DISAPPOINTED AT THE APPARENT LACK OF BACKBONE BY OUR PRESIDENT TO VETO A BILL, ANY BILL, FOR ANY AMOUNT, THAT MIGHT REFLECT POLITICAL COURAGE ON HIS PART. I THEREFORE CHANGE MY PARTY AFFILIATION TO INDEPENDENT, HOPEFUL THAT i CAN FIND SOME CANDIDATE, WHATEVER THEIR PARTY, WHO BELIEVES IN FISCAL DISCIPLINE IN SPENDING THE TAXPAYERS MONEY.

"'We had hoped that President Bush, who was compassionate enough to pardon two turkeys in the Rose Garden, might also have had enough compassion to pardon two law enforcement officers who spent their lives defending us at the border,' said Rep. Well, if you are a Ron Paul supporter then I know where you stand, lol. Seriously, though, we have some modicum of oversight for television and radio, why not the Internet? Discuss.

Dear Abby.
My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job six years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and bullshit with his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me . He doesn't even defend my reputation when people suggest I may be a lesbian. What should I do? Clueless Dear Clueless, Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman. You don't need him anymore! You're a United States Senator from New York running for President of the United States .......... Act like one! |

Please update this page so it reflects the separate pages of all Presidential Candidates. For instance, Fred Thompson needs to be moved to the main list of Presidential Candidates.

I entered some information several months ago here. I challenged all candidates to answer. (I'm pretty sure it got deleted, yes it did!)
I sent inquiries to my fellow Tennessean Fred Thompson to answer my profile that is journaled on Fred08. Nothing yet.. I am far, far from sold on ANY Republican Candidate. Fred's tie to large corporations gives me pause. He voted very pro business when he was our Senator). I want to know he also will defend our food supply. None of us know the source of our food until Country of Origin Legislation (COOL) is passed as a bill of its own. No more Administrative and Congress delays. Congress hasn't funded it and the administration is ignoring it. 92% of all Americans want to know where our food is grown, processed, and distributed. So far NO Republican candidate has taken a position. It is obvious that the President of the United States and Congress are responsible to provide for the common defense and general welfare of all United States citizens. If our food supply is a risk from foreign and domestic bio-terrorism this certainly questions basic needs of all. Food, Water and Shelter. Want to learn more? Go here: Safe Foods Home Cooperative http://safefoods.wetpaint.com/ Anyway do a Search this wiki for the keyword food. At least some of it hasn't been deleted. :}} The deliberate pet poisonings and human food poisonings certainly should wake up surely to goodness one Republican candidate!
